Pray in silence To pray in silence is to be silent so that our inner being is listening to Jesus, it is to let our soul abandon itself in its love. In a society where there is a lot of noise, silence is not necessarily obvious, it can be scary. It is important to learn how to integrate it into your lifestyle. In the music, silences give a structure and bring a depth, silence gives a structure and a depth to our life. It is not empty, Jesus is there. Concretely, to pray in silence, you can: sit down, lie down, use a prayer stool. Start by saying a prayer, here is an example: « Jesus, blessed are you. I come in your presence, I welcome your love, nourish my soul. I love you. » Then begin your prayer in silence. It’s up to you to pray! Jean-François Bongrand, 2019

« We love because he first loved us. » (1 John 4: 19)

37Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ (Matthew 22 : 37-39) From worship comes the mission. From the whole being of the believer, loved by God, springs love and praise for his Lord and Savior. Because he is loved by God and through his love (Romans 11: 36), the Christian can proclaim the gospel and offer the love of God to his neighbor so that he in turn will worship the Lord with all his heart, with all his soul and with all his mind.
